    The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is announcing the availability of more than $1.1 million for new Drug Free Communities Support Mentoring program (DFC Mentoring) grants.   • Administration Officials Celebrate Opening of Knoxville Reentry and Recovery Center for Women
    Knoxville, TN-Today, marking the one-year anniversary of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Federal, state, and local officials celebrated the grand opening of The Next Door in Knoxville, a transitional residential program for women, which received seed money from a grant made possible by the Recovery Act.     New regulations requiring private group health insurance plans to offer benefits for treatment of substance abuse disorders that are comparable to benefits for other illnesses will help remove a barrier to treatment for millions of Americans, National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Director Gil Kerlikowske said today.
